An unprecedented mobilization for innovation around plant-based protein

The selection committee of the European Plant-Based Protein Awards reviewed the 108 applications received

Initiated for the first time in 2017, the European Plant-Based Protein Awards aim to recognize European startups that innovate with plant-based protein in order to promote the dietary transition. For this 3rd edition, the Villages by CA Nord de France and Champagne-Bourgogne, associated with Terres Univia, are bringing together a unique consortium of major players in the French agricultural and agri-food ecosystem around a common ambition: to support and to encourage this transition.

This powerful ecosystem, which brings together the entire chain of competence of the sector, has attracted no less than 108 applications from 26 countries. An unprecedented mobilization. On Thursday, September 5, the initiative's partners gathered in committee to pre-select 31 projects from among them. The next instances will make it possible to refine the selection until the announcement of the 7 winners, which will take place on October 2 at the Village by CA Nord de France during a major event bringing together the entire ecosystem. It is also on this occasion that Le Village by CA Nord de France will have the honour of hosting the opening ceremony of the Plant Based Foods Summit, one of the most important European events dedicated to plant-based proteins.

The European Plant-Based Protein Awards are fully in line with the societal challenges and collective awareness that bring tomorrow's food to the heart of debates and concerns.
